Abstract

저자는 총 668명 무치악 환자의 파노라마 X선사진에서 관찰되어진 비정상적소견의 종류
와 빈도수, 위치 등을 조사하였고, 더불어 치조정과 중요해부학적 구조물간의 거리를 조사
분석한 바 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다.
1. 총 668례중 무치악 부위에 유의한 만한 비정상적 소견을 보인 예는 103례(15.4%)이었
다.
2. 시대별로는 1970년대가 총 59례중 13 22.0%), 1980년대가 총 352례중 59례(16.8%),
1990년대가 총 257례중 31례(12.1%)로 발생빈도가 감소하였다.
3. 비정상적 소견의 종류는 표면잔근이 43례 (40.2%)로 가장 많이 나타났으며 매복치가24
례(22.4%),매복잔근이 9례(8.4%),낭종이 7례(6.7%), 골절이 7례(6.5%), 이물질이 5례(4.7%),
비정상적 방사선불투과상이 4례3.7%), 골결손이 2례(1.9%), 종양이 1례(0.9%)로 나타났다.
4. 비정상적 소견의 위치는 상악 구치부에 42례 (353%), 상악 전치부에 26례(21.8%), 하악
구치부에 29례(24.4%), 하악 전치부에 18례(15.1%)이었다.
5. 치조정과 상악동저 간의 거리는 0.5㎜이하가 109례(9.7%), 0.5-10㎜이하가 757례
(67.6%), 10㎜이상이 254례(22.7%)이었고, 치조정과 이공과의 거리는 0.5㎜이하가 73례
(8.8%), 0.5-10㎜이하가 501례(60.7%), 10㎜이상이 252례 (30.5% )이었다.

The author has examined the abnormalities in panoramic radiographs of 668
edentulous patients. The distribution, type, incidence, and location of all abnormalities
were analized, and the distances between alveolar crest and anatomical structures were
measures. maxillary measurements were performed between alveolar crest and lower
margin of the maxillary sinus and mandibular measurements between alveolar crest and
upper edge of the mental foramen
The obtained results were as follows:
1. Of the 668 panoramic radiogaphs examined, 103(15.4%)showed one or more
abnormalities.
2. The incidence of abnormalities was decreased by years, which was 22.0% in 1970's
and 16.8% in 1980's and 12.1% in 1990's.
3. The distribution of abnormalities as follows:
43(40.2%) superficial root fragmental 24(22.4%) impacted teeth, 9(8.4%) imbedded root
fragments, 7(6.5%) cysts,7(6.5%) Eactures,5(4.7%) foreign bodies,5(4.7%) abnormal
radiolucencies,4(3.7% ) abnormal radiopacities, 2(1.9%) bony defects, 1(0.9%) tumor.
4. In the location of abnormalities,42 cases(35.3%) were in the maxillary posterior
region,26 cases(21.8%) were in the maxillary anterior region, 20 cases(24.4%) were in
the mandibular posterior region and 18 cases(15.1%) were in the mandibular anterior
region.
5. In the distance between alveolar crest and maxillary sinus, 109 cases(9.7%) were
below 0.5㎜, 757 cases(67.6%) were between 0.5㎜ and 10㎜, 254 cases(22.7%) were
above 10㎜. In the distance between alveolar crest and mental foramen, 73 cases(8.8%)
were below 0.5㎜, 501 cases(60.7%) were between 0.5㎜ and 10㎜ and 252 cases(30.5%)
were above 100㎜.
